A quite busy week at the aven de Noël, with one central event : the placing of the new CO2 sensor.
It now allows each and every one to follow in real-time the amount of carbon dioxyde at -120 m, as well as the temperature. A good team work, in surface and underground.
The cable is fixed on a new route located on the opposite wall, facing the normal route, in order not to interfere with the cavers progressing upwards and downwards.
The camp is also devoted to inspections of the cave network. Michel guides the newbies across the marvelous Noël galleries : classic network, the intermediate one and the superior one. We finish with Noé who shows us the way across the inferior network, more confidential.
I recall these words from Michel : “At Noël, one must be curious and take the time to observe !”
